Who is TDI?

TDI is the largest technical certification agency in the world. As one of the first agencies to provide training in mixed gas diving and rebreathers, TDI is seen as an innovator of new diving techniques and programs which previously were not available to the general public.

Training with TDI has provided divers with the opportunity to see such wrecks as the Andrea Doria, Luisitania and the Prince of Wales. TDI divers have explored underwater caves in Spain, Australia and Mexico and assisted as support divers on world record freedives done in the Red Sea.

TDI’s professionals are held to the highest standard to ensure quality training throughout the world. This means that as a diver taking a TDI course, your instructor will have documented his experience and knowledge prior to achieving that rating.

I completed the TDI CCR (Module 2) Inspiration Course with Kevin Rainford in June 2009.  Although an experienced open circuit diver this was my first exposure to CCR diving.  Kevin proved to be an extremely competent and professional instructor who demonstrated much patience and understanding during the course.  Although at times a demanding course Kevin ensured the pace was kept right and the course was relaxed and enjoyable.  I highly recommend Kevin Rainford as an instructor.

... really enjoyed the trimix course, it was very challenging but I got loads out of it, and learnt loads.the dives really built my confidence up ready to do some deeper diving, the instruction was top notch. I have just completed a mod 2 ccr course with kev and it was fantastic start to finish, you are put at ease straight away making the learning a much more relaxed exercise. Kevins knowledge of ccr diving and diving in general is shown time and time again, he always takes time to listen and answer questions you may have however small you may feel they are in turn helping you understand fully what you are being trained to do. I would definitely dive with kevin again, and will be recommending him to fellow divers as a first class trainer.
