SDI Solo Diver Speciality


The objective of this course is to train the diver in both the mental and physical skills required to conduct solo dives.

Qualification Gained.
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to safely plan and execute solo dives without supervision

Student Pre-Requisites.
Be a minimum of 21 years old.
Have a minimum certification of SDI Advanced Diver (or equivalent).
Show proof of 100 logged open water dives.

Course Structure and Duration.
2 full days 1 day of theory and prep 1 days diving.
3 dives. 1 skills dive and 2 dives to show competence in solo diving skills.

Training Materials.
All students will receive the SDI Solo diver manual.

Required Diving Equipment.
A full set of diving equipment is required. A redundant air supply is also required this can be either a pony cylinder of suitable volume, a twin set or a single cylinder fitted with a H Valve. Equipment required by the student can be rented at a reduced rate from the dive centre.
