About Us

Kevin Rainford

During a 12 year career in the Royal Marines Commandos I instructed and led expeditions in a variety of different areas including Skiing, mountaineering, rock climbing, mountain biking and fitness training. None of these are directly related to diving, however this experience has taught me there are many ways to achieve your goals.

I learn’t to dive in 1995 at the Joint Services Diving Centre, Fort Bovisand and after my first experience of the underwater world I was hooked! Two days later I had joined my local dive club and had a garage full of diving equipment. Within two years I was a BSAC Advanced Diver, PADI Divemaster and TDI Trimix Diver.

In 1999 I took my PADI Instructor Exam and started work as a full time diving instructor with my first job working out of Exmouth. Since then I have worked from Portland to Penzance teaching everything from Open Water to Closed Circuit Rebreather Trimix courses. I spent 12 months in Egypt where I worked as a technical instructor and also as the operations manager for an award winning live aboard company. I have also worked as a dive boat skipper and diving equipment service technician.

Khaled Elswah

Khaled was born in Alexandria  and moved to Sharm El Sheikh in 1999 to work towards his dream of becoming a diving instructor.  He took a job as a sailor on one of the live-aboard boats working in the Red Sea and worked his way up to assistant skipper.

In 2004 Khaled fulfilled his dream and became a dive guide after completing his PADI Divemaster course.  February 2007 he completed his open water instructor exam and became a PADI diving Instructor.  During this time Khaled logged over 2,000 dives guiding and teaching in the Red Sea

In June 2007 Khaled moved to London to be with his long time partner, who he then married in July of that year.  Khaled lives in London, but the call of the sea regularly brings him down to Devon where he pursues his passion for diving in an altogether different environment.
